Two people detained by DIICOT Târgu Mureș for drug trafficking; nearly one kilogram of „crystal” discovered by investigators
Two people, aged 24 and 27, were detained by DIICOT prosecutors in Târgu Mureș and are being investigated for high-risk drug trafficking, after investigators discovered approximately 900 grams of 3-CMC, a substance known as „crystal.”
According to investigators, the 27-year-old allegedly sold NEP psychoactive substances worth 2,500 lei in September 2026. On 15 October, the person was caught in a flagrant operation in Cluj-Napoca while allegedly selling approximately 200 grams of „crystal” for 9,000 lei. The drugs were allegedly procured from the other person under investigation.
During a home search, police discovered another approximately 700 grams of 3-CMC, hallucinogenic mushrooms and several bags containing crystalline substances that are undergoing expert examination.
The two people were detained for 24 hours, and on Friday, 16 October, prosecutors asked the Mureș Tribunal to order their preventive arrest for 30 days.
The operation was carried out by officers of the BCCO Târgu Mureș and DIICOT prosecutors, with the support of organized crime combat structures and gendarmes from Cluj-Napoca. Those under investigation benefit from the presumption of innocence until a final court ruling.
